How is Our Service?

We want to hear about your Foxridge & Hethwood Apartment Homes experience!

Complete a survey at our website. Feedback results are very important to us at Foxridge & Hethwood Apartment Homes; in many cases we make changes in response to your input, and we would like to opportunity to ensure we are continually exceeding your expectations.


Moving?

Moving receptacles, PODS, trailers, etc. must be approved by management if they will be stored on the property for more than 24hrs. 

Please contact the Welcome Center to request approval and discuss appropriate location for the moving receptacle.


Goodwill Donation Pick-Ups

Mark you calendars! Goodwill will be set up on the property on July 13th and 27th to accept donations. The truck will be parked on Tall Oaks Drive in the Blue Ridge Drive/Cardinal Court area from 11am – 4pm. 

In the event that you would like to donate large items (sofa, tables, dressers, etc.) and you are unable to deliver it to the drop site, a Goodwill employee will pick up the items at the apartment. Please contact the Goodwill directly at 540-524-0079. They will try their best to accommodate all pick ups.


Vacating Tips

Before you vacate, be sure to provide the Welcome Center with your forwarding address. 

  • Use the Standard Vacating Checklist to have a cleaning guide and a basis for any potential charges.
  • Vacuum and steam clean your carpets.
  • Change your address with USPS, your credit card, magazine and utility companies.
  • Double check your apartment to be sure that no items are left behind. Items left in the apartment will be stored for 10 days at a minimum storage fee of $35.
  • If you have rented equipment from Comcast, do not forget to return all equipment to their office at the end of your service term. For questions please call 1-866-Comcast or visit their office on South Main Street.

Swim Gym

Re-energize your fitness resolutions, improve your swimming strokes, lose weight, get fit, and meet new friends… all in a fun & supportive environment. 

20 minutes dry land & 20 minutes swimming. Instructor: Julie Knopp NASM certified personal trainer. Enjoy evening classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00pm – 7:00pm at the Briarwood Clubhouse. 

Register and pay at the Hethwood Foundation by June 7th. The cost is $35. Dates: June 11th, 13th, 18th, 20th, 25th, and 27th, July 2nd and 5th (instead if the 4th).


Pool Schedule

The Briarwood and Huntsman pools are open for regular pool season hours.

Briarwood: 11:00am – 6:00pm with lap swim Monday-Thursday from 6:00pm – 7:00pm.

Huntsman: 12:00pm – 8:00pm.

*Dependent on lifeguard availability and weather permitting.


Pool Guest Policy

Guests must be accompanied by a resident. The guest pass fee is $4.00 and can be paid at the pool. Each resident may have 3 guests per day and are responsible for their guests conduct. For out of town discount guest pool passes or pool parties please contact the Hethwood Foundation at 540-552-5252.

To enter into the drawing for the monthly community winners please stop by the Welcome Center and submit an entry form. Drawings take place on the 15th of each month. You must be a current resident to win.

Community Events

  • Get Pizza for $5 from Dominos – Every Wednesday come out to the Briarwood Clubhouse from 4:30pm – 7:30pm and enjoy fresh and hot pizza from Dominos!
  • Fourth of July Splash & Bash – Join us for a fun packed Independence Day celebration on Thursday, July 4th at the Huntsman Pool. There will be a cookout beginning at noon. Enjoy free hot dogs and chips while they last! $1 Flavored Shaved Ice, other cool treats and concessions will be offered by the Hethwood Market. We will have a variety of games, relay races, water balloons, $$ money toss, and THE BIG SPLASH contest!!! Pools will close at 6pm that day.
  • Popsicles by the Pool – Saturday, July 13th at 2pm come out to the Briarwood and Huntsman pools for a cool treat! All pool policies apply and rain will cancel.
  • Classical Guitar for Beginners – Starts in July! All ages. Tuesdays Nights. July 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th from 7:30pm – 8:30pm at the Briarwood Clubhouse. Cost $48. Must register by July 8th at the Hethwood Foundation.
  • Family Night Swim – Friday, July 26th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the Huntsman pool. Enjoy pizza and drinks while they last! Rain Cancels and $5 guest fees apply.

Out and About in Blacksburg Events



  • Saturday, July 6th at 11am – Rhythm and Vine Music Festival. Celebrate Virginia Wine with at least seven Virginia Wineries in one location! Artists, artisans, and food vendors gather for a field full of fun. Sip wine, shop around and bring a blanket to enjoy live music on a cool mountain afternoon. Admission is $25 in advance and $30 at the gate. Ticket includes wine tastings, glass and entertainment. Located in Nancy Morrisette Field, 3641 Black Ridge Road, Floyd, VA.   • Friday, July 12th at dark – Movies on the Lawn. Paranorman will be shown at the Thomas Connor House Lawn. 104 Draper Rd. Admission and popcorn are FREE. Bring a blanket or chair and purchase some dinner from a local food vendor prior to the Movie. Movie starts at dark. Rain date Saturday. For details call 540-558-0746.
  • Saturday, July 13th at 5pm – Ruritan Club Fish Fry. Mount Tabor Ruritan Club will hold its Fish Fry at Slusser's Chapel Picnic Shelter, 1543 Mount Tabor Rd, Blacksburg. All-you-can-eat fish, fries and slaw; Homemade desserts; and beverages. Adults-$8, children under 12-$4, carry-outs-$8. The Panjammers Steel Drum Orchestra will be playing. Held rain or shine.   • Saturday, July 20th at 1pm – 
    Tea Pairing Workshop. Do you wonder how restaurants and foodies go about choosing beverages to best pair with their dishes? Wonder no more! Plan to attend this tea pairing workshop with the blender for The Devotea USA. We'll cover Tea 101, proper tea preparation (steeping) and tasting, and the basics of pairing. Cost is $35.
