If you live in an apartment in Blacksburg, VA here are some ideas for your Fourth of July festivities. Blacksburg is providing many events throughout the day in honor of our country’s independence day.
The annual July 4th parade in Blacksburg will set off at 2 p.m. from the Old Blacksburg Middle School site, travel along Main Street, and end on the Alumni Mall near the Drillfield.
This year’s theme is “Sweet Land of Liberty.”
The Town of Blacksburg will have music, food and entertainments near the Rec Center on Patrick Henry Drive, beginning at 6 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
The post-parade movie is "An American Tail" at The Lyric Theatre on College Avenue. The Town of Blacksburg will also present music, food and entertainment at Municipal Park beginning at 6pm, followed by Fireworks at 9:30pm.
Weather permitting, the evening will culminate in a fireworks display at the Municipal Park at 9:30 p.m. just after the movie showing finishes. Bring a blanket and some snacks and enjoy a timeless Fourth of July tradition.
